You aren't even worth my time if you are going to use that argument.

The Giants beat the Pats last year so

Eli>Brady

No argument. Not debatable.

Not at all. But Oakland and Atlanta were pathetic last year. Now Atlanta looks like a good team and Oakland is still as bad as it's ever been. They just went head to head and Ryan clearly outplayed him by a monumental margin. Ok, monumental is a bit strong. Jamarcus is not on Ryan's level. Simple as that.

Matt Ryan has the luxury of a dominating run game in which majority of his passes are through play-action.. Russell doesn't have that luxury, nor does he have the quality of recievers.. to compare the 2 is just flat out ignorant, compare the organizations and you'll see why Ryan came out on top yesterday

Atlanta is far from a model organization. Comparing Atlanta and Oakland is almost like looking at twins.

One team is 5-3, the other is 2-6.

Atlanta has made their share of mistakes, but they seem to be on track.

Roddy White has developed. Matt Ryan certainly looks solid. The Michael Turner signing looks genius right now.

They could still use some CB and DE help, but the are moving up.

The Raiders, on the other hand, have these players all of whom are paid very highly

Javon Walker
DeAngelo Hall
Tommy Kelly
Robert Gallery

None of these guys are going to be worth a shite. They have to move all of these guys to get cap room before they can even think of rebuilding. Not to mention their best defensive player is likely gone after this year.

Absolutely thanks to Matt Ryan and a new coach. But I was talking about as a whole and in the past. Atlanta has always had poor fan support, mostly bad teams. They aren't a model franchise like say the Giants, Pats, Packers, Titans, Colts and the like.

My main emphasis is that Ryan>Russell

Atl fans are terrible. They seem to be getting their feet under them as far as building a team though.

The Raiders are totally fricked.

Is a team stat. Irrelevant.

So JR throwing fewer picks proves he's stupider football-wise?

They're actually better than given credit for. And the organization is definitely headed in the right direction under Blank/Dimitroff/Mike Smith

As I said I was on the fence about the Turner signing, but he has paid off big time. They also got a second round pick for Hall. I mean really Deangelo Hall is worth a second round pick?

Oakland's talent evaluation is flat out terrible.
Draft: (1st rounders)
-Gallery, drafted as a franchise LT, couldnt make it in either tackle spot, plays guard.
-Huff, FS, drafted him to play SS, horrible for 2 years, moved back to FS with the arrival of Gibril Wilson, has sucked so bad at his "natural spot" that he was benched.
-Fabian Washington, played opposite Nnamdi Asomghua, got picked on like a highschool girl, now he's out of Oakland.
Free Agency: (big contracts)
-Hall: Brought in to form the most fearsome CB tandem in years, also to force QBs to throw more against nnamdi (who is hardly ever thrown against) because he is a great playmaker. Also brought in to help with returns. So far, he has sucked as a corner, couldnt even make it as a returner. Horrible signing overall.
-Walker: Oh Javon, brought in to give Russell a legit #1 go to receiver, something almost every young QB has been blessed to have one. Didnt practice in TC because he was making it rain in Vegas, got his arse whooped, and sat out like a little bitch. 12 reception on the whole season, almost never open.
