Yeah I've never been to a Panthers game but you can always tell it's full of opposing fans. Yesterday was actually really impressive because I actually heard a faint Panthers chant late in the game and it was the first time in years I had heard it that loud on the TV. I was so proud.

I've gotten to be a more diehard Panthers and Bobcats fan over the last two years unfortunately, and it does really suck most of the time. But it just makes any possible good time in the future that much better.

Most students here in columbia are ravens fans, and I'm really starting to hate them.

I don't follow my father's team or my grandfather's team (colts and redskins respectively). I was in attendance yesterday and the amount of young adults (21-27) is astonishing. All first generation panther fans whose parents more than likely rooted for someone else and are coming of age to have their own disposable income.

In ten or so years the transplant fan problem will be limited as all first generation panther fans would be adults. book it.

I agree, it will be very interesting to see how the fanbase evolves over the next 20 years or so. I am similar to you in that my grandfether's team was the redskins, and my father's team was the baltimore colts. They are from memphis but I grew up in south louisiana and am a saints fan because of it. However, my father wasn't a diehard sports fan, so Im not sure if I can apply my situation to what we could expect to see in NC.
