How do baseball stadiums do double headers?

Just wondering how they do the tickets for these... The chances of everybody leaving after game one and for those who have tickets to game two (usually a rain make up day from the day before)

Clear the stadium between games and need your original ticket for the other game to enter for the Second one.

I work with a guy that had Saturday tickets to the rangers game. Since the makeup was the second game, he had to wait until then to go. He couldn't stay in town for the 2nd game so he asked (as he was leaving Saturday) if he could go to the first game Sunday. They said it was sold out so he got a refund.
I'm not a rangers fan, but they didn't have to give him a refund. Class A stuff in my book.
