So now the Rose Bowl isn't meaningful?

Give me a fricking break. Enjoy your time in the sun, but don't delude yourself into thinking you've made it as a program and TCU hasn't. At worst the gap has closed dramatically in the past two years. You still have no national championships, no BCS bowls, no BCS wins, and no top 10 finishes since 1951. Congrats on your 7 conference titles in 115 years (one in the past 33 years).

But you're going to finish second in the Big XII this year and get murdered by LSU in the Cotton Bowl, so you're clearly the superior program.

Congrats, you won a bunch of games in a mid major conference. Baylor already has a heisman winner, and may have another one this year. They are certainly on the upswing, while TCU looks like nothing but a doormat in the Big 12

Rose Bowl.

That will not happen. Fully healthy, Baylor is 3 TDs better than LSU.

With the guys BU has available now, the teams are pretty even, but IMO Briles is better than Miles so I give the edge to Baylor

I don't have to be butthurt to point out Baylor delusion. It's just more politically and socially cautious of me to reality check dumbass Baylor fans who I don't actually know on here, rather than on Facebook.

7 conference titles in 115 years
1 conference title in 33 years
0 BCS appearances
0 BCS wins
1 top 10 finish in 115 years (1951- #9).

Congrats on the Heisman and the Davey O'Brien award. Your second most meaningful achievement of your program in 50 years is named after a TCU player.

Not defending it, but TCU fans and their coach love to throw this in Baylor fans faces, when their own program reeks of criminal activity.

Are you really, as a Baylor fan, accusing TCU of having a program that "reeks of criminal activity" because 4 players were arrested with a total amount of weed that would qualify as less than one person's amount for "personal consumption" in states like Colorado and California?

You do realize that within the past decade you had an athlete murder another athlete and a coaching staff cover it up, including fabricating evidence that the deceased was a drug dealer, right?

Edit: for typos

I'm not on here claiming Baylor to be something it's not. Baylor is what it is, an athletic department that did what it had to in order to be competitive.

My gripe with TCU is that Patterson he stands on his ivory tower and talks down about other programs.

I personally just laugh when anyone uses weed as a reason to call one criminal.

Again, no dog in this fight, but if that's what the Baylor guy is referring to, I'd like to add another

But he didn't. He complimented Baylor on the win, and he said Briles is a great coach of a great program. When asked by a reporter about a cheapshot and ejection and refusal to leave the field, he said he would never stand for that kind of stuff on his sideline, namely the laughing and taunting and refusal to go to the locker room. Briles was the one that had words for Patterson for telling the officials the ejected player was taunting his players and didn't leave the field. Patterson wouldn't have said a thing if not for that. Hell, he probably wouldn't have ever brought it up himself, but he was asked pointedly about it in the post-game.

Don't start no shite, won't be no shite.

That's exactly what's happening.

A few dozen TCU kids were arrested in a campus-wide drug bust by the Fort Worth Police--this included 4 players and almost everyone involved had trivial amounts of weed. The total amount of weed for the 4 players was less than 4 grams, meaning they had the amount considered "personal consumption" by Colorado law--though they were initially arrested for trafficking and some other crazy charges.

The FW police chief resigned after it came out that most of this was a vendetta against TCU students as part of a jurisdictional battle between FW police and the TCU police department.

I see your point. I guess I am just unable to look at this objectively because of my hatred for Gary Patterson

Maybe, maybe not. The Big 8 wanted Texas and A&M. Legislators with ties to TTech and the panhandle threatened to kill the deal if TTech wasn't included, so they now needed a 4th team. It was Baylor, TCU, SMU, Houston, UTEP, or Rice for that spot. Baylor got it, with a Baylor alum in the governor's mansion and another as speaker of the house, so that leads to a lot of speculation. It was a football deal, and TCU was terrible at football at that point, so it's hard to be mad about being left out--not that Baylor had an impressive history before the split or since.

Sounds good to me. Just let us in and we'll give it a shot.

It wouldn't be a rivalry if you didn't.

Here's to y'all staying just good enough for this rivalry to stay heated--and no better.
