The Wizards are reportedly close to a deal that would send Antonio Daniels to the Hornets in exchange for veteran point guard Mike James. The Grizzlies could also be involved, possibly including Javaris Crittenton for a conditional draft pick.
I wouldnt mind seeing us get him.
Anything is better than Mike James though.

It is a concern though, after we have seen how ineffective Mike James has been at times this year and then the Wiz will trade AD for James straight up?
Why would they do this unless they actually thought James was an upgrade at the position??

Gives em another ball handler, and a big G who can play both backcourt spots. Should give more help than James did if he's healthy.

Anything is an upgrade over Mike James at this point. Maybe now Devin Brown can play his actual fricking position.

AD can knock down some 3's. I'd say an upgrade for backup pt. Plus that can move Devin Brown to the 2 where he's better at anyhow.

James has an expiring contract I think.

Ok, but can comeone please try and explain why the Wiz would make this trade 1-1 if Daniels is an upgrade for us at the position?

makes about $200K more per year than James and has the same contract length. Still have some cap room to sign a big man in Feb.

AD must have another year on his deal. James' is done after 2009-2010 season, Daniels' must go an extra year. If not, maybe both teams were unhappy with both players? If that is the case, it is a great move if for no other reason than James makes me want to vomit.

It is not straight up. It is a 3 team deal we do not know all the details yet
