Mavs aren't soft, they have championship pedigree and mental toughness, two things the Hornets lack.
If the Hornets started 2-7 this year, they would've spiraled into a 35-47 year. Mavs turned it around and won 50, more than the Hornets can say.
No way would the Hornets win a Game 7 in San Antonio, hell they can't even win a Game 7 in New Orleans, and they let fricking Pargo try and win the game for them.
No way do the Hornets come back from 2-0 down having to win 2 games in Houston.
Mavs are mentally tougher than Hornets.

Mavs down 2-0, games 3 and 4 in Houston. Mavs win both. Goes to 7, Mavs win by 40.
If NOLA fell behind 2-0 they'd get swept.
Now this was 4 years ago, but it was the same core of Mavs players for the most part (DAMP/JET/Dirk/Howard).
