Thsi is my favorite form of auto racing. It is very much the caviar and champagne crowd around the world.

Brazil, Spain, or France would be my choice.

I would really like to. There is a badass track in Birmingham, I think the Barbers of Barber's Milk own it, that should be used for a race. Unfortunately Jefferson County is run by dumbfricks and they wouldn't pony up any money to bring F1 there.

I hope it is one badass track in Birmingham, because so far no American city has been able to keep a F1 stop for very long.
Montreal would also be a great trip.

Can't get into cars, however I really enjoy MOTO GP. (Street motorcycle racing)

Valentino Rossi is an animal.

The issue was with MotoGP, not F1. BMP is WAAAAAAY too small for F1. Indy runs there now and it's awful, not to mention that they ruined the pavement as well. Barber was primarily built to be a motorcycle track. They've talked about adding a huge extension for years to make it MotoGP/WSBK worthy, but the recession killed that.

I usto to be a big Formula 1 fan. As a kid I watched Nigel Mansell, Aryton Senna, and Alain Prost for a couple of years, then Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve and Michael Schumacher. I'd really like to go to the Monaco Grand Prix, or any of the new GP's in the far east.

IMS (Indy) was the only F1 sized track in the US till recently, and the exploding Michelins took care of that...

They're currently building a brand new track in Austin and planning to race there in 2012.

Not a track up to F1 standards.

The new F1 tracks like in China and Abu Dhabi are cookie cutter, but seriously state of the art.

If they could update Road America to F1 standards, that would be sweet.

Going to be designed by Herman Tilke
so it might have a spectacular paddock area, but it's sure to look like every other track he's built.

Laguna Seca would be a good venue for F1 imo.

Track is too tight and doesn't really have anywhere for the cars to open up. It's technically doable, but completely opposite of F1's style.

Yeah it would. Love that track, but F1 has extreme safety standards. Don't know if the track would meet them without extensive changes. My favorite Laguna Seca moments:

F1 races in Hungary where the track is much tighter, and no where for the cars to open up. Monaco is the same way. The ole Magny Cours fit the bill of that as well. If those tracks can do it, I don't see why Laguna Seca can't.

Greatest battle to ever occur at Laguna. I remember jumping up and laughing at the top of my lungs when Rossi brake checked Stoner and made him run off the track.

I was really entertained by Moto GP for a couple of years. Rossi might be one of the greatest drivers in history that no one (in America) knows about.

Hungary is longer and has actual straights, as well as an actual straightaway (you have to take starts into account as well). Monaco is a special case because of it's history, and can't be compared to anything. Like I said, it's technically doable, but F1 just doesn't do new visits to tracks like Laguna anymore. I'd dig the hell out of it if they did though.

You mean rider? Because he drives too...

And if you mean rider, then it's not up for debate. He's called the GOAT for a reason; Unless of course you're just referring to the America part.

He's starting to get a bit old though, and it's beginning to show. We'll have to see how he does on the new 1000s next year since his current bike can't hang with the Hondas this year.

Yeah, didn't know how to word that.

Hungary is only a half-mile longer, though when dealing with tracks as short as both, then I suppose the half-mile makes a difference. It wouldn't be much different from tracks they've had in the past, and visiting a place like LS might do away with the curse of the Tilke cookie cutter tracks, which I hate so much.

I lived in Phoenix for a few years and attended the first race they had there in '89. They did a street circuit right downtown. I love me some racing, but the event was just awful.

Yeah Phoenix was one of biggest F1 busts ever. As was Las Vegas in 81 or 82. fricking Caesar's Palace.
