My personal fav TD poster misspelling is ridiculous, derived from the word ridicule..yet the vast majority of Droppers constantly inject "red" ink into the word..which is redonkulouios!

I remember the 2007 LSU-UF game when towards the end they lined up all the troopers and cops near the student section in order to prevent us from rushing the field after the game or at least give us second thoughts about it if people decided to do it.

LSU is stiff about any kind of attempt to storm the field in a big win. They do, in fact, line the north endzone with troopers and police to stop, and discourage, us students from doing so. Hell, some people below us caught that shanked FG last week when we played florida and within 20 seconds there was about 12 state troopers surrounding the area for the ball. They do not play around. Pretty shitty.

LSP Troopers knock down $45 per hr game detail(thus will smack you fools if must!)..LSU's H-style goal posts are special order jobs..and LSU's Ath-Dept doesn't want their premiums raised over another cracked skull post-game teardown mayhem..'97 was scary..lots of people in harm's way when they came down.

Besides, even should young current LSU students have never experienced rushing the field and tearing up things, the LSU fanbase and program tradition, has been there..done that..and now acts like they've been there before ala Gale Sayers or Jim Brown..just toss it back to the ref and go hug a teammate..showcases team not I..says it's a regularity..says I come here often and will back here again soon.

I know I was there in 97/2000 but the student prevailed, you just have to go midsteam of students. That way cops already have hands full.

Ironically, I was there for Fla '97 and Tenn '00 despite attending but sporadically those years, and loved it.

But, also saw an oblivious gal just miss getting nuked by a post coming down. Some close calls despite many hands and a group effort to make it somewhat safe.

Joe, Herb, Bo,etc..butts must have been puckering.

Good for them. I never had the chance to rush the field. Maybe someday when it is possibly cool with y'all.
