It would have been a near storybook ending, but everyone knew that Favre would play until he had to be scraped off the field. Favre was at the top of his game in 2009, so there was no way to expect a decline so precipitous in 2010. I do not blame him for coming back or trying to stay as long as he can. He loves the game. He wants to play. If someone wants him, then why would he pass on that opportunity?
