Why is Merril Hoge so obsessed with the word "factor back"? I think I've heard him say it 10 times in the last hour, and it is very bothersome.

I have been bothered by this for a long time. I think I have a theory about why he loves the phrase. I think he is hoping that the phrase will catch on and then he can claim that he "coined" the phrase.
Alas, he's been saying it for years and no one else seems to have picked it up. Hoge, it's time to move on.
