The best women’s college basketball teams practice by setting up a practice squad of males who just happen to be available random college students and former average high school players. Even in that case the males play by special rules to make the competition more even.

Completely agree. But a team could do it and not lose much if they sit on the bench for two weeks. They sell tickets and show how progressive they are. I could see somebody like Pop doing that.
