Deuce is done and probably too expensive to do the job of a late round pick
I hate it for him. Im a Falcons fan but for obvious reasons I always cheered for Deuce. Maybe he can get one more year. But think think youre right. Philly as a short yardage guy seems like an option but I donno if they have they the cap room.
I think that if he does get picked up I think it will most likely be after the season starts due to another RB getting injured.

He'll probably go to the Falcons, like all other former good Saints players

for some reason i always saw deuce ending up in philly, but with westbrook and having drafted mccoy i dont know how many opportunities he'd get there. if he's going to play it will be near the veteran's minimum or something very incentive laden i would imagine. too bad he wont be a saint anymore cuz payton doesnt like when the fans chant "deuuuuuce"

I think it's more that Payton doesn't like having $6MM of his cap eaten up for the last 2 seasons because Deuce's knee couldn't handle jumping 8 inches for an overthrown screen pass by Brees in the Titans game.

It got hyper extended on the land.

No link, but I have heard the exact opposite about Deuce. Heard his knees are busted and he is done. I hope it is not true, but thats what I was told.
