To YOU............ A hell of a Tennnis player. I don't care that he is a a-hole............
You don't have to care that he's an a-hole, but it's almost objective fact that he is. Anybody not named Jimmy Connors who played pro tennis and wrote a book, included several pages in said book describing how much of an a-hole Connors was.

Probably didn't need to be revealed so many years later, but it's his biography and that event was part of his life. If he wants to talk about it, that's his business. Really throws Chrissie under the bus making it appear as if it was completely her decision. I find it hard to believe that he, at the height of his career, really wanted a child, and that he was just seemingly "overruled" on the decision. This a-hole blew up all the time, I doubt he would have been overruled had he really wanted to not abort the child. He paints himself as just the helpless, heartbroken dad, and her as someone who calously aborted her child so her career/life would not be affected. I think it was a two-way decision for both involved.
Did you read this excerpt?
quote:
Connor said he wanted to “let nature take its course” and accept responsibility “for what was to come.” But the then-19-year-old Evert, who was raised in a devout Roman Catholic home, made a different call.
“Chrissie … made up her mind that the timing was bad and too much was riding on her future,” wrote Connors.
Connors, who had been staying in a Los Angeles apartment with his pal, fellow short-fused legend Ilie Nastase, was perturbed that Evert decided the matter for the both of them.
“Well, thanks for letting me know,” Connors claims he told Evert. “Since I don’t have any say in the matter, then I guess I’m just here to help.”
…
But Connors, who was barely 22 at the time, had been harboring deep misgivings about getting married. And that phone call from Evert shook him badly.
Connors said he suggested to Evert they “take a step back and think about giving this a little more time.”
Evert was apparently thinking the same thing.
“O.K., if that’s what you think,” she replied coldly, Connors recounted. “I’ve got a match tomorrow. Not a problem.”
And that, Connors claims, “was it.”

PJ, how many abortions have resulted from your trysts over the years?

If true we do know it was her kid, he can't prove if it was his, so it's really not his place to reveal.
They were engaged. If it wasn't his kid, then he would be revealing both that she got an abortion, and also that she was a raging whore.

It was in response to your post where you stated that Connors was an a-hole "to me"...as if I had formulated this opinion myself.
