If you take the shootouts away from our games with them, I'm pretty sure the season series would be 3-0

You're right, but we have gotten more points off SOs overall than they have.
So I can see why they'd reward teams that win in regulation and OT.

I get the tiebreaker. I just think two way ties should be handled differently, but that's mostly because the Jackets are on the short side of the stick this season.

I'm all for rewarding teams that don't get cheap points on shootouts, even if we are on the short end of the stick. But I'm probably a much more honest person with better moral fiber.
