So the kids tops the three schools should be set aside and we should go by what you're saying?

That's ridiculous. VA provided a link at least.

There have been plenty of recruits who included an extra school or two in their final decision. Like Landon Collins for example. He also had Texas and Tennessee in his final 4, but it was really going to be Bama or LSU.

But Bama and LSU were at least in his final 4. The teams mentioned are nowhere in his final 3.

Lets put it this way, all schools competing for top cheat, they have to in order to keep up with each other. At least some might appeal to top talent without benefits, but Clempson is tucked away in the corner of this state with little to nothing around it except cow pastures. Its a college town but not on the same level that UGA is.. there is no reason a 5-star from FL with a laundry list of offers from all over the country would choose Anderson, SC without something going on.

You don't know dick about what you're talking about. Watkins has said multiple times he committed to Clemson as a sophomore. He liked the isolated nature of the school and that it's difficult to get in trouble there. When you come from a location like he does the ability to get away from trouble is a huge plus for him.

This has been reiterated with multiple recruits over the years. I guess it's somewhat shocking that people would want to live on a beautiful campus surrounded by lakes as opposed to a shite-hole ghetto in Columbia.

Clemson's location is really no different than many of the very schools in the SEC (Miss. State, Ole Miss, Auburn, UGa, and even Bama to a degree). Good recruits go to those schools as well, just as they do to schools located in cities like LSU and USCe.

Clemson is more boring than Starkville. I've been there plenty of times. There's one good bar there and it's not even THAT good.

It's boring as hell.

I explained why Boyd dropped the 3 schools I mentioned from his consideration.

He didn't go to Va Tech because they were more into Kevin Newsome and made it clear it was Newsome or bust for them.

I can't remember the exact reason why he dropped West Virginia, but I believe it had to do with Bill Stewart.

He dropped Tennessee because they hired Kiffin and he didn't fit Kiffin's style of offense.

Pretty simple why none of those were in his final three.

uf just got Bullard from right under Clemson's recruiting footprint. Guess UF paid him more.

All fair and true but to say he wasn't considering going to Ohio State when they were in his final two (he canceled his official to Oregon so they weren't an option) isn't quite true.

When you come from the ghetto where half you have friends getting shot outside your house, you probably want something a little lower key.

Plus I've visited Clemson multiple times and there is tons of shite to do. If you can't find something to do outdoors around Clemson then you're some sort of hermit crab.
