That's a good move, glad they didn't cancel.

Billed as the longest continuously held major sporting event in the U.S., the Derby has continued amid wars and The Great Depression, among other societal disruptions. The Derby has run outside of May only twice, according to Churchill Downs' records: on April 29, 1901, and June 9, 1945.

So will they move the Preakness and Belmont, so that the three races are all in 5 weeks as usual?

This could still work for Belmont....Saratoga stops running 2nd week of August.
Pimlico would just have to swap their time frame...

Yeah, but I just wonder how this will effect the BC Classic if they run the triple crown on the late fall? I'm guessing they will prob run the races in reverse order this year.

Getting married on October 24th this year. Fiancee and I went to the cookware sales thing that you get invited to when you are about to get married and bought everything they had lol. They gave us two free 3 day hotel stays. Now that this is moving i'm going to use one of them to book in Louisville for labor day weekend.
