bradley and arena are exactly the same in the way they had a poster boy for the us team

bradley has ching, who I was never impressed with

arena had landycakes, first donovan is a good player, especially in league play, he just always pissed me off by not giving 100% for the national team, he never did when I was watching, must be a huge conspiracy against me...and landycakes is a funny nickname, some may be pissed off at me for those views, but whatever, never cared for the guy

personally, US needs to go after a foreign manager, we need a completely different view and strategy

We screwed the pooch by not getting Klinnsman. BUT Landon Donovan always shows up in games against Mexico, so at least he has that. I think he move to Europe will help him not to be a bitch against good teams not named Mexico.

klinsmann wanted too much, as far as exclusive contracts and stuff, and he was overrated, but he's still twice that of bradley

I see Bruce Arena when I see him. He's not a bad coach, his man crush on Brian Ching pisses me off though.

so did arena, but look what happened to us at the WC

he's done better by playing less shite nations and some better teams, but he's not enough of an improvement

He is helping cultivate young talent. Ching is shite, but he is a veteran.

only a veteran by name not by skill

he's not cultivating anything, he is helping young kids experience the game on the national level, but their clubs are the reason for their development

one of the problems with bradley is that he isnt a salesman. the USMNT more than other nations needs a good coach who is also a great salesman. needs to start getting young atletes in to the game

Rijkaard lost Barcelona when his #2 Henk TenKate left for Chelsea, where he wasn't successful (calling out even Lampard and John Terry.) Rijkaard needs an enforcer like that or he won't be successful.

I kind of expect to see Jose Mourinho back by next year.

which is what the beckham rule was really about, getting younguns excited about the game, but thats a whole nother topic on how the MLS screwed that up

USSF should look for someone now instead of just sitting back and watching a lackluster team

USMNT has potential to get very close to winning WC, and in a few WCs, maybe 2014-2020(considering the mayans are wrong about 2012..which they are), we may have a legitimate shot at it, but not until the NT and youth development is fixed

ETA: I want to say that Rijkaard would be a good fit, but I don't think he is, Scolari yes or maybe even someone surprising like Zola

I know what, throwing caution into the wind and completely disregarding that this will in no possible way happen....THERE'S ONLY ONE KEANO, that's right, Roy Keane, great manager and it'll never happen, but hey, I can dream...

I doubt Scolari would take the USA job, during his last international gig he had guys like Ronaldo and Deco, he may not be content with Ching and Donovan

my opinion has always been like that of many others, in that the US produced more talented athletes in general than any other country, but because soccer is so behind basketball and football in terms of grade schol and high school athletics it hurts us.

bradley or gulati(whatever the hell his name is) need to target these areas somehow. more youth soccer academies, advertising, and youth camps as a start

MLS having youth academies solves most of our problems. It really is that easy.
