If you are coaching little league might be wise to get some additional insurance with today's parents.

If they were at BASEBALL PRACTICE, and on a BASEBALL FIELD, and the kids weren't paying attention and got hit with the balls, then I'm sorry it's their own fricking fault.

Agreed!!! The damn kids should have been paying attention, but with that being said I dont know if I would have hit balls at them, I probably would have ran them in the ground until the puked!!!

You had plenty of opportunities earlier to say what you heard "really" happened, but you didn't. I stand by my opinions, for now.

For one, I wanted to make sure I got the full story before posting it. Also, I had work yesterday afternoon so that's the reason for the long time frame between posts. The main thing that aggravates me is the people labeling these players as 'pussies' and trying to add fuel to the 'pussification of America' theory with this situation when none of them know the kids or the situation, and only a handful know of the coach. Having an opinion on the subject is understandable and respectable, but when people start blindly judging these athletes, it just rubbed me the wrong way. Regardless, the coach replacing Covington is supposedly very, very good.

There's politics at every school. I'm not going to deny that there's politics at Central, but I'm going to make the obvious statement that this wasn't a 'politics' move by Central considering the facts about the situation and the danger he presented during his little tantrum.

Chris Mire interim Head Coach. There is an article stating that Mitch Covington resigned.

Central went 2 out of 3 this weekend with the new coach. Lost to West Monroe 8-4, Beat Holy Cross 3-2, and beat Thibodeax 13-1.

Coach Mire doing ok it seems.

I believe this was the icing on the cake, but to his defense, the parents are to involved and have been for years.
