I don't mind the helmet change. I actually like the helmet to be frank. And as said, the color has been what it is (sans the darker pewter now being used) for a long time. Bucs numbers and such have had orange outlines and orange in the pants.
I liked the previous uniforms a lot and though they used the color scheme really well. So no, this isn't a "people hate change" issue.
The mismatch patches are awful (that Bucs patch is the worst). The stripes on the jerseys are awful. It looks like the Cleveland Browns and 70s Astro uniforms mated and produced a Bucs uniform that's short a chromosome.

My favorite professional football teams have put out awful jerseys within the last calendar year.
