Connecticut had a tougher schedule than UNLV in 2010

They did.
School - Winning % - Opponents' Winning % - Opponents' Opponents' Winning %
Team A - **** - .597 - .490
Team B - **** - .504 - .490

Which had the tougher schedule?

Absolutley. Hell, even Air Force gave OU a better game than Big East champ UConn.

I agree that the Mountain West would be a little stronger, but Cincinnati, a big east losing record team, should have beaten Oklahoma last season...so there goes that argument

Depends on the quality of those teams. Having an opponent going undefeated in the Mac/C-USA/Sun Belt/MWC/WAC isn't impressive as going 10-2 or even 8-4 in a BCS conference.

UConn's schedule > UNLV's.

LSU's schedule was by far better than Oregon State's, no matter the OCC.

UConn's schedule > UNLV's.

Let's see. Besides 1-AA Texas Southern and the MAC's Temple, West Virginia is not only the sole 8-win AQ team that Connecticut played, but they're also the only team that finished the regular season in the BCS top 25. However, UNLV played them too, so that's a wash. No other team on Connecticut's schedule won more than seven games in the regular season. Meanwhile, UNLV played 12-0 TCU, 11-1 Wisconsin, 11-1 Nevada, 10-2 Utah and 10-3 Hawaii, who by the way, all finished the regular season ranked in the BCS top 25.

And you're telling me that UConn had a tougher schedule than UNLV? Okey dokey. Whatever you say.

UConn

Michigan
Texas Southern
Temple
Buffalo
Vanderbilt
Rutgers
Louisville
West Virginia
Pittsburgh
Syracuse
Cincinnati
South Florida

UNLV

Wisconsin
Utah
Idaho
New Mexico
Nevada
West Virginia
Colorado State
TCU
BYU
Wyoming
Air Force
San Diego State
