In 2 OTs, after a plane crash and still had a far better resume.

They were up 24-7 at the half. Had it been closely contested throughout the entire game, the plane crash hypothesis might hold a little bit of water.

Florida hadn't looked impressive for much of the year. The SEC wasn't seen as the best conference back in those days. People only really remember the title game, but the B1G went 2-1 in bowl games against the SEC that season. Wisconsin beat the SEC west champs and PSU beat Tennessee. No excuses for OSU to get absolutely obliterated by UF when it was obvious from the other games that occurred that the game should have at the least been competitive.

The UF/Tenn game that year was a 1 point game and the OSU/PSU game was 28-6 (although much closer than the score indicated with 2 late defensive scores). Transitive theory doesn't apply but there is no world where UF would be 4+ TDs better than OSU based on this small sample size

LSU should have been better than all of them in 2006, but Les went “run up the middle” Les at Auburn and Jamarcus fumbled a snap on first and goal at the 1 against Florida.

Most of that isn't true, and none of it makes Alabama a deserving team.

What isn't true? Florida did indeed lose to Auburn, Auburn did indeed finish 11-2 and ranked in the AP Top 10. Oklahoma State did indeed lose to Iowa State, Iowa State did indeed finish 6-7 and unranked in the final polls. Alabama clearly deserved to be there as they won the game and held LSU to less than 100 yards and four first downs.

SEC hadn't won a Championship in 10 years.

While the Big12, Pac12, Big10, Big East all had won a few during that span.

The sec won the national title in 92, 96, 98, and in 03 prior to that. Or are you saying there was angst for not winning it in the 80’s?

Auburn was 10-2 and wasn't top 10, and Iowa State was 6-6.

Winning one game doesn't make them a deserving team, especially when it was a bullshite rematch that LSU shouldn't have been subjected to.

Alabama didn't deserve to be there. Sorry.

That's not what I said. I said they *finished* 11-2 and ranked in the Top 10. The same thing with Iowa State, I said they *finished* 6-7 and unranked.

Too bad your opinion counts for jack and shite. The people who matter decided they deserved to be there and Alabama won in a fashion that left no doubt who the better team really was. The win in Bryant-Denny was clearly a fluke.

That's fine. It's also not relevant.

You are talking about the decision made. Stick to the information available when the decision was made.

Your bullshite national championship claim is a fluke, just like most of the rest of them. Everyone outside of Alabama knows this.
