if you don't hit it on the right spot it'll hurt like hell, a not fully inflated ball stings way more IMHO

Man I remember high school PE my hands would get so red from hitting the volleyball. I didn't know the sweet spot on the wrists to hit or wherever, so wow it stung so bad. I can't imagine kicking a football barefoot. Ouch. props to those guys who can/used to do that.

National High School rules require all players to wear shoes. NCAA rules still permit barefoot kickers.
