He can't be worse defensively than McClouth. And his bat is more important to this team than Schaefer's glove.

I sure hope the giants get him. Their offense is terrible.

i'd be happier if we gave up someone like Peguero instead of Wheeler

Very true. McClouth has been garbage lately.

Rangers are making a strong push for him from what i hear. that offense is going to be scary good if he goes to Texas and then Beltre comes back.

Exactly, don't know why they are trying

Pitching will win out 9 out of 10 times in that situation

Why would they not make a run for it? There are no top pitchers on the market (unless you want to pay the farm for Ubaldo), and the Rangers are one of the six best teams in baseball. They are a contender.

Then why do the Red Sox seem to be the prohibitive favorites? Even though I think it is clearly Philly.

if they have enough pieces to go and get Beltran they'd be better suited getting Harang/Adams/Bell from the Padres. or even better Pindea from Seattle along with a reliever.

because in the playoffs you go with a 3-man rotation. Lester/Beckett/Buccholz is gangster if they're all healthy.

honestly, i don't think so. they'd be stupid to move him or King Felix. i could definitely see Fister, League and Vargas moving though.

Halladay/Lee/Hamels is better by a long shot.
