Pretty sure you can't bet on UNLV. They may have a similar restriction here.

False. I've bet for and against UNLV many times.

I guess it got lifted way back in '01. I thought there was some talk about Stern wanting that if the NBA went there. Anyway, that team on the strip would be awesome for visiting fans. Otherwise, if it is away like Thomas and Mack, I think the team would fizzle out.

It is certainly looking like Las Vegas will get a team in the near future. And most people seem to assume it will be the Coyotes. I think that is the most likely scenario, but I think is also possible that it could either be an expansion, or another team relocating: maybe the Panthers or Hurricanes.

Good news for the NHL. Phoenix was a dud. Time for a new experiment.

Phoenix was fine, moving to Glendale was moronic.

I'd be fine if they moved to Vegas. Just one more reason to go there.

The commissioner came out and said he told the post it was completely untrue but they ran it anyway

This. And Glendale going back on their deal is going to have Arizona sitting nice and pretty if they can get back into Phoenix.

Also talk of them moving TO Scottsdale and building a new arena with Arizona State but I think that would be a disaster

I agree this is great news for Seattle and other cities vying for the expansion teams. I think LV would have been better starting with star-studded NBA though.

The Coyotes would be popular here if they weren't located in butt frick Egypt. There is a PERFECT location by the Talking Stick Casino on the Indian Reservation next to Scottsdale but they are too pussy to move there.

In their defense, Coyotes haven't had a lot of luck on Indian reservations.
