Today probably was last straw

But what really happened today? They were sitting on the bench in a game where neither was going to play. They weren't laughing and cutting up, they weren't on their phones, they were just sitting on the bench watching the game. It's just a bizarre power play by Coughlin.

Jags are Bitch made. Get Lenny on a good team. He should double down, whip his cock out on Coughlins desk and say I’m out while he still can. Jags broke Jones-Drew, they gonna ruin fournette too

What has Ramsey done to get suspended?

Ramsey runs his mouth but wasn’t suspended by the league that I can recall

You don't actually think they're doing this just because he was suspended for a game? This is a take back the locker room move and it's much simpler for them to challenge the face of that underachieving O than the face of that underachieving D.

What has happened during the week though? As I said Coughlin didn’t announce the voiding of incentive so he’s kept it in house

How do you know they were doing what was asked? I don’t know. I’m just going off what Coughlin has done and off what Fournette has done.

Coughlin is making the most rational decision for his own self preservation.

Do nothing and if Fournette doesn't kick it into gear, they're both gone next year.

Publicly ride Fournette's arse a little and one of two things happen.

1) He's becomes a malcontent and they're both gone next year anyway.

2) Coughlin reads the room right and Fournette needs a kick in the arse more than a pat on the head and gets more motivated next year and Coughlin keeps his job and Fournette gets every nickel of his contract.

Coughlin seems to be playing the odds here.

This will hurt financially, but professionally, his release from the Jags will help him in the long run. Tons of teams will be willing to bring him on.

Tell me what Fournette has done to make the Jags better?

He’s not playing he’s been suspended. He’s shown up out of playing shape apparently.

Nobody asked Coughlin about today's game. He released an unsolicited statement. I feel like Tom is trying to come off a hard arse here is what it gets down to.

This is the NFL angle

What NFL team did you work for?

Fournette has an obligation to his employer.

Maybe but there’s a reason behind it though

Yeah, there is obviously some stuff going on behind the scenes for Coughlin to come out of nowhere with this, especially since anecdotal evidence suggests the players were just basic spaced out on the sidelines and not doing something really egregious like sleeping on the ground.

He was the crutch for a shitty Blake bottles. He got them to the afc championship with a great season. I know it’s a team game or whatever, but fournette directly impacted their season last year.
