The man is making a frickton of money off fanning the flames on Reddit. Georgia is winning the bidding wars rt now, but their coaching and talent evaluation hold them back. But, enough about that in this thread, back on topic.
Altuve is the last guy on this team that would be involved in this shite. He sits on EVERY pitch. Free swinger.
Chapman threw 6 straight balls before the slider for a strike to make it a 2-1 count. He was up to 28 pitches, which only ONE was a FB for a strike. He was struggling w command, and went slider-slider after 2-0 w a runner on 1st he walked on 4 pitches.
1st slider was middle and broke inner half. The fateful one was outside breaking toward middle, and Altuve got his arms extended. Ballgame. Someone looked up Chapman on 2-1 pitches during the season, he threw over 60% sliders.
The numbers prove that Astros were better as a team on the road in ‘17 and ‘18, including individual stats for the majority of the players. Actually, best 2 year road record in the history of MLB.
If they had a system that had benefitted them in those 2 years, would they have not used it to win ONE fricking game at HOME to win the ‘19 WS?
Legitimate baseball fans w half a brain are not screaming at the sky like a Trump hater. Baseball guys in the media are not howling at the moon.
Only the guys who never played the game are blaming the Russians.

Supposedly real journalists take jomboy, a Yankees fan, seriously. That’s where we are in 2020.
I weep for the journalism field, which has turned out quite a bit of Yankees fan boys in the baseball media in recent years. It’s why no one asks the simple question: Given Carlos Beltran’s presence in the Yankees organization in 2018 and 2019, did the Yankees cheat, too? This becomes relevant given all the holier-than-thou bullshite coming from the national and New York media.
It’s also relevant because if the Yankees did cheat in 2018 and ‘19 (which is highly likely), their organization should be punished to the extent the Astros got popped (manager and GM suspensions, loss of draft picks in ‘20 and ‘21, $5 million fine).
None of this will happen. The media doesn’t want to investigate the Yankees because they’re too busy rooting for them (Buster Olney, Marly Rivera and Marc Craig, just to name three). MLB doesn’t want to investigate/punish them because it would affect TV ratings at some point when the punishments inevitably affect the Yankees’ on-field results. Astros did an awesome job cheating and buzzing. They got the ring, they got the trophy , MLB commissioner say “you can keep it”.
