He could have made it in the NFL as something. I don't see why that's hard to think by some here.

Not so much anymore since parents live their dreams through their kids and have them "specialize" in a sport. Players used to play a bunch of sports and be all state in 2 or 3 of them.

He clearly had the athletic potential. And if he was put in a major CFB weight training program as a freshman I'm sure he ends up at 6 foot 190 or so instead of 6 foot 170 or whatever he was in the NBA. He wasn't training to play in the NFL, and you can put on 20 lbs of muscle in one of those training programs very easily. I still think his defensive instincts and quickness would have translated very well to playing CB. He had a strange throwing motion and most big schools probably wouldn't have even considered him at QB because of his size anyways

I agree about the other sport part too. Carl Crawford is probably my favorite. Drafted early in the MLB draft, offered as a option QB at Nebraska, offered a guard at UCLA.

It's sad that parents ruin shite like that. So many great athletes that have just played 1 sport when they could have enjoyed others when they were young.

Yup, it happens the most with basketball players now it seems like. Probably because they always have "handlers" and the whole AAU circuit thing. It seems like a lot of the big football recruits still play basketball, at least from what I follow.
