Clearly outline the rules, and I'm in. I suggest just the graded stakes races at Belmont, two dollars per race, can be win, place or show.

In the interest of full disclosure, my wife worked at Fasig for years, she knows her shite, and I will consult her.

Well, fine, then. I have no problem going full totalitarian.

Rules:
Just the Belmont Card : the 10 stakes races.

Personally, I haven't been able to pick just one horse in a race in, well....ever, so I still like 3 $2 bets per race (1W, 1P, 1S). As I said, before, this can be in any combination of 1-3 horses.

Picks must be in this thread by 11AM EST on 6/7/2014. If anyone knows an administrator, perhaps we can have the thread locked at that time.

Honestly, while I plan to put my money on the line elsewhere, I think it will just be a whole lot easier to play for bragging rights in this forum. I am sure there is a way to PayPal money exchanges, but I, alas, will be swamped that week at work, and really rather not deal with that end of things.

I will be more than happy to add up all the "winnings" at the end of the day and post them later Saturday night or Sunday AM. However, anyone can also easily add up their own in case I add wrong.....which has not been unheard of.

Keep this thread to your picks only. There can be a separate discussion thread. This will make it a whole lot easier to make sure all picks are recorded.

If you disagree with these rules, then blame George Blanda for making a naturally vacillating personage go all dictatorship

When the entries are official the week of I will make sure the thread is bumped back up to the top.

I tried this once, when I was about 10 and my grandfather hit me with the racing form and said "boy, that's how the track gets your money. Pick one horse"

I'm cool with the rules above. Hopefully it goes well and we can do this for the BC and more in the future. We can always tweak it in the future.

NIce! Thanks, stlslick.

Here is an article about some of the fields on the undercard. Looking good so far for full, competitive fields.

Belmont undercard

Hopefully, it won't rain and cause a lot of scratches.
