Well, Milwaukee is a mile. What is Iowa?

ETA. In my mind, there is no "standard" track, though NASCAR and it's 1.5 milers are trying to make it so.

Iowa is. 0.894 mi I believe.

I don't have a problem not delineating them that way.

Back in the 70s, Indy Cars ran at a 7/8ths mile oval at Sanair, Canada

I like short tracks. I like street circuits and road courses and superspeedways too. Bring 'em on.

What are y'all's favorite tracks on the Indycar and IMSA circuits besides IMS and the Glen, which I believe are pretty much universally loved.

Less than a mile is almost too dangerous for Indy Cars, imo

Too much carnage and chaos?

Too much power, and not enough room. Mix that with road racers who didn't grow up on short ovals ..

You wanna work together to create a team Indycar scoring system?

Makes sense though. Seems dangerous AF.

I liked the old CART system.
One point for pole, one point for most laps led.

Was it you or someone else I was posting with last year about this? The person I was posting with had a problem because teams don’t have the same number of cars.

Don't specifically remember that. Is there a team championship in Indy?

If you're going to do it, only the top-finishing car gets points.

I believe Will Buxton has inked a deal with FOX.

He sucks.

I think it should be an average points per car scenario. That way a team won’t get penalized for going 1-2 or a double podium or the like.

That gives the advantage to the multicar team. If Penske finishes 1-2, and Rahal third, Penske would get 20 points, and Rahal 14. The second-place points would not apply.

If Penske finishes 1-2 and score 20 and 16 points respectively their average score would be 18.
