Charles Schwab,TD ameritrade, or a well known and reputable company as such. I’d stay away from those and companies like robin hood.

Why? I use TD Ameritrade, and have for 15 years. But I also use robinhood. It can be occasionally glitchy but the format is extremely easy to use, teaching my son on it. You do realize that all these assholes used to charge over 5/trade until companies like robinhood forced them to quit gauging people right? Don’t be myopic.

I wouldn't recommend acorns because you have very little control over your money/investments

I’ve used Stash for 2 years. 3 accounts - self-directed IRA, General securities, and a checking account/debit card. I invest in a group of funds (quasi-mutual funds) or individual company stocks. Low to no fees, no BS. I’m not a seasoned investor and it works for me.
