I started a money board thread just to see if it gets any replies

I'm pretty confident that my view is much more sane than the chicken/karma view

I can't wait to be a middle class guy after I get out of college. I'm going to drive a 100K BMW just because I can afford it

I'm pretty sure Chicken was fricking around. I'm not certain about Karma, he seemed pretty adamant

It got worse

Karma went on to say that someone who finds 20 million dollars on the ground has no income

Good luck explaining that to the IRS

That's what usually happens

I was guilty of it, but it was necessary to prove a point that karma still doesn't understand

I get the idea he wouldn't be PLANNING to tell the IRS ANYTHING.

It's actually quite doable...just get yourself a large mattress, and don't do any stupid spending all at once like those stupid goombahs from "Goodfellas" did after they jacked Lufthansa.

Just so we can put this bitch to rest, this was linked from wikipedia on the first page

Says top 1% are considered upper class

350K a year puts you into that category

So obviously making 700K a year would put you well into it.

a quick summary?

Chicken thinks that people who make 700K a year are considered middle class and karma thinks that finding 20 million dollars on the ground is not a source of income.

And I was called an idiot by both of them repeatedly. In summary, I'm feeling pretty good about myself.

$700K in LA isnt upper class?

if i had a $700K salary in LA, i would be able to afford a $1mil house, drop $100K cash on a mercedes, and be able to send 2 kids to a $30K/yr university.
