Unemployment vs my company shutdown

Maybe wrong board but I need some help.
I’m in the union and had a choice, either get layed off or take a furlough till a big job started about 3 weeks). Now all our jobs have been shut down but I’m still employed just not getting hours. With this bill and no one knowing when our jobs will start back should I ask for a lay off or wait it out?
Any advise would be helpful.

I had enough saved up for the 4 weeks god only knows when they will start back.
