So back in 2021 I had some XRP in my Coinbase wallet. Coinbase was going to delist it so I sent it to over KuCoin exchange. It never went through and I thought I inputted something wrong and it was lost forever.

Fast forward to today and me and a friend of mine were talking about XRP. He brings up XRPSCAN and how I can copy the address from Coinbase that I sent it to. I do, and sure enough it shows the date/time and that it was sent to KuCoin. How do I go about recovering this?

Other than trying to contact customer support for KuCoin idk. Good luck to you though

Now that I think, some wallets have like a "hide coin" function so try to look under settings. Or google something along the lines of "my coins arent showing on KuCoin wallet" and see if there are any tips.

Hopefully you sent it under the right platform

Probably need to contact Kucoin...sounds like they received the XRP but it was never reflected on your Kucoin account.

XRP transfers require both an address and a memo number, especially when sending to exchanges. Sounds like you sent the xrp to the exchange wallet but did not give them the correct memo so they would know to credit it to your specific account. Usually to get this corrected you need to prove to the exchange that the XRP they received is yours. This is usually done by sending screenshots with the date/time of the transfer as your proof. If you sent this XRP years ago you are probably shite out of luck because I doubt you will be able to prove the coins are supposed to be yours. You basically donated your XRP to the exchange wallet.

Actually on Coinbase you can click “visit block explorer” on the date/transaction I sent it and XRPSCAN pulls up showing the date/time the transaction took place, how much, and who it was sent from and sent to. So I took y’all’s advice and screenshot it then emailed it KuCoin explaining. Thanks for the advice!
