I can’t seem to find the catch here. Zero fee index fund that tracts S&P 500 without saying it does thus not having to pay for that right. Why would I not put every dime in it instead of FXAIX?

No real catch, it’s real. The only downside is, if I’m not mistaken, you must buy it through Fidelity only and it cannot be transferred “in kind” to another brokerage account. Therefore, as long as you own it, you will have it within a Fidelity account.
