I frequent a bar here in Dallas that only takes AMEX. Funniest shite I have every seen.
There are signs all over the place and on the menu. People still pull out their visa.
When they have no cash, the bartender will hold onto their license and send them across the street to the ATM.

SInce you avoided most of the points in my previous post.
Answer this if AMEX is so important to you WHY do you carry a VISA with you at all??? Sounds like again the issue is you lack of loyalty not only to the optometrist but to your AMEX also. Shouldn't need two cards is AMEX is so important.

That's so strange. If I'm not mistaken, Neiman Marcus (which was founded in Dallas) only accepts American Express. Bars in San Francisco try their hardest to avoid accepting credit cards. It's such a pain in the arse.

Costco only accepts Amex as credit... You can use any brand as debit.

I pull out the Amex first when I don't like certain retailers B/C i know it costs them more
