I have been watching this one for a while- still waiting on the final investment decision on Driftwood LNG. I think it would definitely be a buy and hold purchase.

Any insight or ideas how this will all play out?

So much is beyond their control; it's a risky play over the next 5 years; the core team has proven they can build value at Cheniere though; they're also very well connected politically.

One of the biggest questions is their need to acquire 1-2 bcf/d of gas to feed the proposed system. From what I’ve heard they don’t want to rely on other upstream Haynesville / East Texas operators’ volumes; they want a majority of the volumes to come from Tellurian-owned production (which makes sense). Tellurian bought a small Haynesville package back in 2017 so they have a starter base. But the issue is they are having capital funding issues and can’t seem to close on a larger Haynesville / E. TX acquisition. A ton of opportunities exist in the basin and I’ve been told they have flirted with most of them. Not sure if a final investment decision will be made until the upstream situation is sorted out.
