Strange Happenings with Bittrex

So I logged into Bittrex this morning for the first of 25-50 status update briefings on my various crypto holdings.
I currently have 4 digits of XLM right now, but when I logged in, it showed that I had in the 20,000 range with many extra digits in my account's USD value. Needless to say my heart skipped a beat.
I hit refresh, however, and it immediately went back to where it was before.
Has this happened with anyone else? I'm mildly concerned about the implications of this.

I would advise trying to cash out next time instead of hitting refresh

I'm not sure I actually hit refresh. I think I clicked on "XLM" to get to the buy/sell screen and that's when it "refreshed" back to the correct values.
