Finally got off my arse and moved by 401k out of a target fund and into a self-managed 401k brokerage account. While I am going to invest the vast majority of the balance into cheap, reliable Vanguard ETFs, I would like to set aside a couple percent to try my hand at individual equities.
With that in mind, I'm wondering if there are any resources you guys have found indispensable when it comes to investing? Motley Fool seems to be everywhere on Google when I search for a ticker, but no idea if it's worth it. CNBC has a "pro" subscription but, again, no idea of its value.

Read How to Make Money in Stocks by William O'Neil.
Motley Fool and CNBC are just trying to separate you from your money under the guise of "advice". Any time you see a story in either location, the market knew that information days before.
