My stock portfolio consist of about 30 stocks. 2 of those stocks (TSLA and AAPL) have performed so well that they now make up 70% of my total dollar amount. I also have some real estate and other investments. I don't want to liquidate shares in these 2 at this time, but worry about so much value in 2 companies. Keep riding as is? Still investing in other stocks. Do you all worry if your portfolio is so concentrated in 2 stocks?

Those two stocks dominate your portfolio now because they are winners. Why would you want to cut your winners?

Don't want to pay the tax on selling either for sure

I wouldn’t be comfortable with that. You’re a scandal or a hack away from getting crushed.

Same. To each their own, but that is more risk than I’d be comfortable with. I would strongly consider selling some. You could also consider a costless collar or other means of getting some downside protection.

Eggs in one basket and all that.
