A lot of banks are asking lenders to only give a status update to customers if they are actually approved by the sba - which is infuriating. I imagine at this point most of the banks have at minimum internally processed most applications maybe 75% have actually been sent down range to the SBA. Curious if the SBA is actually declining any of these frkn things? If not just tell folks what their status is...

Then they are full of shite. The SBA does NOT approve the loans. They issue a loan number and a subsequent guarantee of the loan. The bank (lender) approves the loan.

I sent all my info to my banker last week and havent heard anything since Wednesday.
I just shot him an email to ask for a status update or a loan number. Will advise if I hear something back

Thats awesome my man...Im happy for you.
I just got off the phone with my financial adviser....she made me feel much better. My wife has a huge 401k with Fidelity that we may access and I have a nice portfolio with my UBS and another fund that we can also access if need be.
I really just want to get this PPP funded so I dont have to worry about that other shite.
Until hotels, restaurants, banks and people start traveling and flying again...im pretty much dead.
Once it opens back up it's going to be balls to the walls....I cant fricking wait.
I'll never complain about being too busy ever again.

Good point - guess they are waiting on confirmation of the guaranty. Guess that just reinforces bankers don't know shite about the process!

I called my banker today. He informed me I was approved and somebody from the bank will be reaching out to me in next couple of days. It feels good!

Congrats man. It was a load off of my shoulders to get it approved.
Now I have about $150k in invoices due that my clients need to get off of their asses and pay.

Push for your SBA loan number. That's the first thing they get when they register the loan. When they (the bank, not the SBA) approves the loan they then will ask for and receive and loan guarantee from the SBA. I'd bet that's what they are waiting for now.

Ours is in "closing" status. Jumped on this right as our local bank opened for applications.

We just did the docusign and closed the loan.
