I have a simple IRA through work with NWM. Around 9 % returns over 3 years and 24% over the last year.

Trying to figure out what the management fee is so I can adjust my return to compare to how the market has done.

Seeing that VOO 3 year return is 11.89% and 1 year is 30.4% just as a benchmark to compare to and it seems that we aren’t keeping up. Plus whatever the management fee is would put me further behind the market.

I’ve been thinking that I could just have a 50/35/15 split of large cap/small cap / and emerging markets, lose the management fee and might be better off.

Your returns are net of management fees. On your ETFs/mutual funds, the stated returns are after the fees. If you’re being charged a management fee by the advisor as well, generally that’ll be on your statement and you can look at overall performance based on period end vs period beginning.
