Inherited Type EE Bond cashing

I have a mature EE Bond in my dad's name form 1988. I have a judgement of possession that lists the bond as an asset.
Can I take the Bond to a bank with the death certificate and judgement of possession to cash it or do I have to send it off with the forms?
