Health insurance deductibles at start of new year

My deductible for my HDHP is $1500. So far, I've had several procedures done this month and I've already covered that $1500. Unfortunately, the payments haven't shown on my account yet, and UHC is saying that it could take up to 90 days to be posted.
With that being said, it looks like if I have another procedure or medical bill in the near future, I'll have to cover that full expense. I happen to have something coming next week that runs about $600, which I'm not too thrilled that I will have to cover. Is this normal, taking so long for deductibles to get adjusted? UHC pretty much told me I'm SOL unless the doctors office believes me telling them that I've already covered my deductible. Doesn't seem like a very good way to do business.

Do you not have receipts for the payments you have made this year?
Also, I've never had a Dr's office refuse to provide a service due to me not paying 100% up front.

See if the provider will let you put a credit card on file and run it after the insurance adjudicates the claim.
That way if the earlier procedures are on the books by the time the claim is processed, United will pay 80% or whatever and tell the doctor to bill you the other 20%. They'll run your card for $120 at that time.
