I see articles saying that all Amazon shareholders as of 5/27 will qualify for stock splits. What about the people who buy between that day and the actual split day next week? I am assuming they get the split as well correct?

No, but the share price will be half of what it originally was so it’s 6 on way, half a dozen the other.
