My firm has done tons of these under the standard engagement conditions for our clients because we have a reputation to uphold.
Bingo.
Chex, the emotion you see is from frustration from watching good people come to us after they’ve been fleeced by you vacuum cleaner salesmen.
Professionals like Mingo and myself have seen things like this before and will see it again but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating.

And when their accountant tells them they dont qualify because they "didnt have to shut down" or they "didnt have a drop in revenue" or "were considered an essential business"??? None of these are reasons that a business would not qualify and Paymaster has processed thousands of businesses that each fell under one of those statements.
I was a public accountant for most of my professional career. When new tax laws are implemented then changed retroactively, rarely do CPAs take the time to amend returns.
The ERC is the perfect example. Its been changed multiple times since its inception in 2020 with each amendment lowering the bar for businesses to qualify. Are CPAs blowing up their clients phones trying to file for the credits? Nope. Just bitching and moaning because third party companies have to pick up their slack.

quote:FIFY. Because its reality sweetheart. There wouldn't be a market for ERC filings if CPAs did their job. And i said WAS an accountant. I own my own business now

Sure there would, people take advantage all the time. Especially in matters as complex as taxes.
