Also if you pay small amounts to the hospital for a while you can negotiate a cash payoff at 50% or so and they'll gladly take it. Ive done this in the past for my parents many times. Listen to everyones advice about consolidation loans, unless you make serious changes to your current finances youll be back in the same boat after the loan is paid off maybe worse.

I’d submit for 401k loan to pay those off and pay myself back. The catch is the timeframe for pay back is I think 5 years of payroll deductions. So deductions may be high. I would not risk my home unless no other option.
