Dave is quick to tell you that he does not care about the math, he wants the emotional boost of getting rid of a payment. I listen to him frequently, and I don't get the "nascar" thing. He gets as many calls from a Dr. making 500K as he does from a trucker making 40K. I will go out on a limb and say that there is no correlation between debt and income.

If you have self discipline and common sense you don't need Dave Ramsey, since most people don't that's why he's made a fortune of the undisciplined massess
