I have a chase southwest card i applied for a year and a half ago. Can I still get the IHG card since i have not applied for it in 2 years, or is it a chase card in general ?

Yes you can. It's a different product.

Barclay's better not frick up that $750 a month for 3 months for 15,000 points offer they gave me on the US Airways card. Believe me I'll be making some phone calls on that one.

They screwed me out of it. But I didn't get the targeted offer like you did.

Ya, its letting me think of not getting that 50k for my wife as more like not getting her 35k miles. Helps the hurt a bit.

I should have just applied 6 months ago behind her back, but that doesn't build marital trust

I will say that I believe I have her almost all the way converted. Probably after our amazing honeymoon she will finally let me do whatever.

did you get the 50% bonus miles on purchases until the end of June? I'm putting all my primary spend on there for now for that purpose

Totally overlooked this. Thanks for posting.

At least I should have $750 for March towards that as well.

For the GC purchasers out there. I'm finding WD is running low to zero at two locations of the Mastercard ones I really liked.

Anyone finding the same? They replaced the Mastercards with a Visa but I have to check the bank on the back to make sure we'll still compatible with Serve.

Also, I can widen my net again back to CVS or whatever, but I haven't been to one in awhile so if its a waste of time please let me know before I drive all over town. I'm lazy, thanks.

Noticed the same thing. It appears as though their GC vendor is phasing them out. I bought my last 2 the last week of March for the Freedom bonus, so won't have WD needs for another year. I'm no help.

Damn. Reminds me that I have the $100 off American Airlines pass that I need to use for something. Plus X2 of the USAir card $99 companion passes.

I really need to sit down and look at the perks for each card and plan my spending so I hit the important thresholds. For instance, $10k a year spending on the Ritz Carlton card keeps me in Gold status with Ritz and Marriott.

Oh, and for people who got the IHG card around the end of March, I emailed Chase with secure message and got my wife the 80,000 points. No $50 statement credit though

Just inform them that you just received your IHG card and noticed a better offer of the 80k points and that you would like to receive that offer.

So I just got the 100k amex platinum offer. Is this a pretty normal offer or should I jump on it? I find it hard to justify a $500 annual fee

You can get Global Entry for free and $200 in travel expenses reimbursed on that card. Plus Starwood Gold. It's certainly worth it for a year considering those benefits plus the 100k points.
