Speaking of Centurian. The new Centurian lounge is due to open in Miami soon for those of you with the Platinum card.

I'm pretty maxed out on Chase products at the moment and my 2 years is coming up this fall I believe.

We should bring this thread back to the CC thread . I think we derailed again here.

Wells Fargo 40k

Saw this the other day. Supposedly limited to 1 lifetime signup bonus as well.

I got another 75k Business Rewards gold Amex offer in the mail the other day for $10k spend. Going to test out the theory that the Amex biz products don't have the 1 per lifetime bonus clause. Anybody in here tested that lately?

Pretty great to get 1 card and end up with almost 120k Avios when paired with transfer bonus.

I'll get the card if I ever get a 75k or greater offer. The airline credits pay for the card if crossing over a year.

We got the Platinum business with the 100k offer. Credited us for $200 in GE fees for my wife and I instantly. We also get up to $200 in airline fees credited back, free Boingo wifi in airports and lounge access including the Centurion Lounge plus Starwood Gold status and a few other benefits.

The Ritz Carlton card is another with a high annual fee but benefits that offset the fee. Up to $300 travel fee credits, $100 off on a Ritz stay; 3 weeks of Club Level room upgrades at Ritz hotels; Gold status with Ritz and Marriott giving free room upgrades and free wifi. $10k a year spend maintains Gold status with Ritz and Marriott on a yearly basis.

Afro, looking into getting that IHG with my wife. I've been going on the hotel website and checking out Bora Bora but it seems impossible to get more than a night or two in a row on rewards. Have you ever seen more or do you think it's one where you need to call in and book?

The 70k points offer expires at the end of this month and I'm holding out since I'm buying a condo. But my wife can get one and even if I just get the 60k point offer in April it will be fine. But I don't need another card if this shite won't work for the one thing I'm trying to do with it

ETA: Tonight is available though

I'm not real sure how they are releasing award space these days honestly. If it was me, I'd move forward and get the card if you are flexible in your travel dates. I booked a year out and was able to snag 4 nights together. I see there are 4 nights in January together as of today as well. You could always do 3 nights at Thalasso and 3 nights in Moorea too.

I'd get the card regardless, it's the best card I don't use .

Let's say you don't even want to travel in next 2 years.
Considering 2 cards:
Year 0: $0 and 140k points you don't use.
Year 1: $98 and 2 free nights for anywhere(must be used in that year).
Year 2: $98 and 2 free nights. Cancel the card. You're now eligible for the 140k points again when you and your wife sign up for the card again.

You now have 280k points and 2 free nights from the card you cancelled, so in the end you have 8 free nights at any IHG property in the world for about $270($35 for each 10k points you buy to get you to 300k points). Plus you got 2 free nights in Year 1.

10 nights for $270. That's a pretty incredible value.

Also assuming there are no devaluations.

Do I ear MQM's on Delta if I take a flight with Chase points?

If you purchase the Delta tickets with Chase points you should. Since it should be seen by Delta as a "Purchase."

If you do the whole transfer Chase points for airline miles then I would say no. Since that would be an Award flight.

Refinancing my house is the worst. My fiancee/wife will probably miss getting the US Air card because of it. Bummer. Being responsible and all that jazz. April 17th can't come fast enough.

That calendar sucks, I don't see January nights at all. It did that to me before where some dates showed and then were gone. I think I'll call to book these nights if I go through with it.

For sure. I'm closing on this condo early April so I don't want to apply for a card. My wife can do it and I'll just get the regular 60k point offer. Can you pool points with your spouse?

That would be pretty shady. It does seem Delta does whatever it wants with customers. But I suppose you can do that when you're considered the best option here.

US Air card

I wanna apply for this before it goes away.

I've been taking advantage of the Barclay Arrival 0% APR so I'm holding a balance on it. It's over 50% utilization right now. All other accounts are at about 12%. Should I apply for the US Air Card or will I be penalized for the high utilization?

Just checked again. 4 nights Feb 29-Mar 3. Like I said, you can definitely find em, but you need to be on that calendar 350 days out or whenever they are opening dates. Even booking 1 day at a time if need be until you can piece together your trip.

Unfortunately, no. I signed up at the 80k point offers, so I only had to buy 20k($70) for each account. Jun-Sep is the busy season I believe and I believe they get even stingier with award space during that time.

I know you earn MQMs when you book through Amex portal with points.

I'd apply ASAP. Like today probably. No telling when it will end, but it won't be long.

Thanks. I guess I missed this but what do you have to spend to get the 50,000 bonus miles?
