Yeah. I ended up going with a mortgage banker that I used for estimates. He has been super helpful in explaining everything. I should have went with him from the get go. We will rush the appraisal to have it on time. Might be $100 but whatever at this point

I understand for the brokers as it is not their fault. I just hated the attitude he gave when I asked him about not extending that option from the beginning of yesterday. If they would have communicated with each other before talking to the customer, they would have had that option to present and the quell the customer’s concerns.

I’m in sales as well and I would have all possible options ready for the customer. The loan lady was not very confident that we could order another appraisal on time as it took a whole week to let me know that the appraisal is going to be late. Then when she went to her boss, he got pissed that I discussed other options such as going to the mortgage companies direct. He said that he had a lender friend in Houston that can order the appraisal and have it in 2 days. I said why did you not give me this option all day? He said he just found out a few hours ago. Well they received the email from pennymac in the morning.

Then he said he’s never heard of anyone canceling bc of an appraisal. I said we need to close on time. Then he said fine go somewhere else. I said alright.

All the dude needed to say was hey.. I know you’re stressed but we deal with this often. We will close on time. I have a friend, yadda yadda yadda. But he escalated with his ego.

That is not the way to handle things that's for sure. Hopefully everything works out.

Purchasing a house is stressful and dealing with people you trust and can contact at any time makes it such a smoother process.

I'm glad you were able to switch over.
